Training
The squash club's squad train in larger groups every Monday evening, leading up to BUCS fixtures on a Wednesday. Smaller groups also work together during the week and are arranged around academic commitments. The sport centre's four glass-backed courts give our players plenty of room to spread out during group sessions and the club's bookings are prioritised meaning players are able to train when they need to.
Group Training
Our head coach Liam Gutcher is a full-time member of staff so is able to offer individual coaching for performance teams around their academic commitments during the week. Liam is a former PSA player and two time county champion with over 18 years of coaching experience. With his help our players are able to develop their skill set and tactical awareness while maintaining match sharpness during the season.

Strength and Conditioning
Our strength and conditioning department supports high performance student-athletes in their pursuit of sporting excellence. They provide individualised coaching delivered within a programme of athletic development and injury mitigation. Alongside Liam, they work hard to develop our students into robust and powerful athletes able to cope with the high demands of competitive squash.
