Sports Halls
Squash Courts
Our Squash Club has priority access over the sport centre's four glass-backed squash courts. The courts are arranged alongside each other in their own sector of the sport centre meaning they're ideal for training, matches and hosting small competitions.
With their sport centre memberships, students can book squash courts two weeks in advance, free of charge. If you want to play train and play every day, you can!
Strength and
Conditioning
The Newcastle University Sport Centre offers a world class, 180 station gym for all of its members but also two state of the art strength and conditioning suites for scholars and performance teams. This means our athletes don't have to fight for equipment and space with the general student population and have our passionate coaches on hand to monitor their progress.
The Northumberland Club
The Northumberland Club located in Jesmond is arguably the best tennis facility in the North East, with five American clay courts, nine all weather synthetic grass courts, three indoor acrylic courts and four indoor mini courts. These are all set within beautiful tree-lined grounds, overlooked by St. George's Parish Church. A full-time cafe/bar area, gym, extensive range of fitness classes and an ideal location make it the perfect base for our tennis players.
